Loud & Proud were – well, proud to take part in the Vigil for Orlando in St Andrew Square in Edinburgh during the evening of 15 June 2016. We were all there to give solidarity and support to the survivors, their friends and families of the Pulse shootings on 12 June. We appeared along with Edinburgh Gay Men’s Choir and heard speakers as diverse as the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, the Leader of the Scottish Conservatives and MSP for Central Edinburgh, Ruth Davidson and Louise Thomas, owner of the Street bar and speakers from Stonewall Scotland, Equality Network and Unite Against Fascism Edinburgh.
Photos of the occasion are in the Photo Gallery.
